Our lapidary shop
Located in a stone barn built from glacial till taken from the property, the Middle Earth shop is full of lapidary and gemoligical equipment. We have two Ultra Tec V2 faceting machines (one with DAD and another with a dial indicator), an Ultra Tec Fantasy machine, a PolyMetrics Scintillator 88 faceting machine, a 4 inch faceting trim saw, an 8" trim/slab saw, a 6" flat Lapping machine for cabbing and many accessories. In addition, we have a fully equipped gemological lab and a fully equipped jewelry making area.
A built in air conditioner keeps keeps us cool in the summer and a pellet stove keeps us warm in the winter! A perfect environment for creating classics!

We carefully select rough gem material from our extensive stock and facet most of the stones that we sell. We utilize GemCad for many of our custom designs to give our gemstones a unique appeal.
