Who is Middle Earth lapidary?
I am Allen Petersen, founder and creator of Middle Earth lapidary. I have been collecting and cutting colored gemstones for over 40 years, all the while gaining an ever growing appreciation for their rarity and beauty. During this journey, I have actively sought new sources for rough material, not only for my own cutting but also to feed the habits of my clients. While new material is becoming very expensive and hard to obrtain, I have developed a loyal and consistant network of suppliers who know what I am on the look out for, and who are constantly feeding me with new and unusual materials.
In addition to being a cutter, I am also a GIA Graduate Gemologist and the owner of two other small businesses; AdEmbroidery, Inc and Graphic Promotions, Inc.. I am an avid collector and am totally passionate about anything to do with gems, rocks and minerals,
I always welcome visits to the old stone shop by the stream and am available on an appointment only basis. Let's talk rocks!
