Basic Faceting Instruction
Middle Earth lapidary is now offering instruction in beginning faceting. all instruction is given by Allen Petersen in our state of the art lapidary shop utilizing the Ultra Tec V5 digital faceting machine. Everything needed to facet your first stone is supplied by Middle Earth lapidary.
Students are welcome to bring their own machine and laps for the instruction if they desire.
Basic instruction includes quality, natural faceting rough for your first project, a comprehensive manual with detailed instructions for cutting your first stone, one on one instruction, a design sheet, faceting record log and discounts on materials and supplies. In the past we have broken up the instruction into blocks of time however we now work from 9 AM until 5 Pm for a full day of instruction. We will do a fairly easy design and the student should be able to complete the stone in one day.
The cost of instruction is $240.00 per day payable at the beginning of the session. Additional instruction is available at $30.00 per hour.
Hourly students are welcome to bring their own rough or purchase rough from from us at a discounted price
